Throughout my academic and now political career, I’ve found community consultations to be exceptionally important. Taking the time to listen to the people who will be affected the most is critical to understanding an issue and deciding how best to implement a proposed policy.
In honor of this international event, I invite you to join Peter Julian and I for the screening of "Poor No More" co-sponsored by the Burnaby Task Force on Homelessness on October 10th at 2PM at Parish of St. Timothy (4550 Kitchener Street, Burnaby).
BURNABY, BC – A public memorial for the late Honourable Jack Layton will take place on August 25th, 2011. Kennedy Stewart, MP (Burnaby-Douglas) recently lost his brother-in-law to cancer and has been taking some time to be with his family, and will therefore be unable to attend. A statement on his behalf will be read at the memorial.
